THE ITEM
This stylish piece has as many uses as you can think of for a box this side. What makes it better and for me, is the main feature of the piece is the Art Deco styled collage on the lid, which has been put together with a style very similar to the Japanese Yosegi wood marquetry style.
The box opens by sliding an embedded narrow panel down the right side (see photos) and the body of the box is made with a warm walnut(?) wood.

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to trace the provenance of this piece.
CONDITION
Very good. Sadly there is a slight split in the picture, otherwise there is only slight wear which is commensurable with the age of the piece.
