This cute and quirky piece could be used for dry flowers or non-thirsty flowers. It definitely wouldn't be filled with water as there is a delicately and perfectly circular pattern cut away from the front of the vessel, to about two-thirds down.
You could imagine that what was cut away was then rolled into the perfect ball that sits on the rim like a bobble would on a bobble-hat. The hand painted glaze is a mottling of light blues and browns which decorate mostly the front of the vessel and internally too.
Finally, there are some stronger blue circles tracing a few of the circles on the patterning. It's quirky and unusual and definitely for the collector who's looking for something different - something unique by Unique.
A BIT OF HISTORY
