A BIT OF HISTORY
Founded by Alfio Mian and his son Giuliano in 1962, Formia (Fornace Mian) now involves a third generation of the family, Simone and Patrizia. Formia employs among the best Murano glassmakers, who work to improve their techniques in the production of fine art pieces which beyond the concept of "simple furnishing accessories". With around 5000 sq m, 26 kilns, the glassworks is one of the largest on the island.
