This exquisitely intricate piece is a work of antique French Art Nouveau design.
The external shell bears a number of features in raised relief. On the main body, there are cherubs at play; fishing on one side and accompanying a deer on the other. There are also visages of cherub angels featured at the front and back, and the spout depicts a Bacchus-like figure. The piece is further decorated with finely detailed, stylised plume scrolling and flora. The piece is finished with a handblown pale azure blue bubble of glass within the shell.
