THE ITEM
This elegantly sculpted studio work of Atomic design is by German ceramist Sibylle Karrenberg-Dresler (daughter of renowned ceramist Paul Dresler).

This piece is an exquisitely balanced blend of soft curves and geometric angles, embodying the futuristic design influences of the time. The form is a stylised teardrop with a severe, cropped rim; upon which is overlaid a fusion of deep-indigo and taupe semi-matte crystalline glaze. A beautifully tactile piece, this would suit display standalone or with a bouquet.

A BIT OF HISTORY
Sibylle Karrenberg-Dresler (b.1918 - d. 2007) was the daughter of Paul Dresler, founder of the Grootenburg workshop in Krefeld. Unfortunately, little is known about her studio except that she mentored Gerburg Karthausen and Ingeborg Zenker temporarily worked in her workshop. Karrenberg-Dreslers works are known for their quality.
