THE ITEM
This delicious work of Mid Century Art Deco brings elegant glamour and chic vibes and was made by Sicas Ceramics of Sesto Fiorentino, Italy.
Many designers of the time tread the fine line between constraint and adornment but others had sought a return to the Art Deco style of opulence. These influences are celebrated by this rainbow lustre series created by Sicas and are a rare find.
The abstract undulating form of this piece provides an excellent canvas for the iridescent lustre glaze of lemon sherbert yellow, sky blue and blush pink.
CONDITION
Very Good. There is mild use wear to the gold gilding and gentle crazing to the glaze that is commensurable with the age of the pieces, please refer to photos as part of the condition report. The underside of the base is marked with the stamp 'MADE IN ITALY'.
